In the previous post we talked about the properties that truffle have for skin care by applying creams and other beauty products but, as so often we have heard, the skin is a reflection of our overall, what we eat and drink, “we are what we eat”. So when we eat truffles all our body gets its benefits, including skin.
The truffles are rich in iron, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus and other many minerals, plus vitamins, including B group, essential for the proper functioning of the nervous system and skin. They have a high protein content, being highly recommended to incorporate in vegetarian diets, are low calorie, sugar and provide no cholesterol. In general for their high antioxidant power they improve the appearance of skin, nails and hair and improve the functioning of nerve and muscle tissues.
Oh, and despite its bad press, they smell very well, at least the new fragrance from Tom Ford Black Orchid woman with black truffle essence.
With all that give us we can not keep saying that truffles are expensive.
